It was love at first sight for this mid-Century Cape Cod in 1997.   A change in work location was our incentive to move-in; however, it was coming home to Silver Spring that made the neighborhood inviting.  And – it is a true “neighbor”hood.  Folks move-in, stay to raise their families and beyond. The neighborhood has a wonderful mix of generations which enhances everyone’s experience.  We look out for each other, whatever the need. As our family grew we worked to make the home comfortable and inviting for all, incorporating 21st-century amenities, while maintaining the Mid-Century harmony with the surrounding homes.  That wonderful view from the street that says “Welcome” and that doesn’t stop at the front-door.

There’s no debate about the wonderful, and continually expanding, opportunities for entertainment, education, dining, casual shopping, etc. associated with downtown Silver Spring, but we sometimes take for granted,  is the proximity to necessities.  We are within walking distance of our elementary and middle-school, and Sligo Creek Park.  It’s a short car trip to three grocery stores, several pharmacies, post-office, library, etc.  In addition, we are one block from local bus routes, centrally located between Silver Spring and Takoma Metro and it’s easy to bike-in and out.
