Letter from the Seller
We knew this was the house we wanted to live in as soon as we walked in, over 20 years ago. We had been looking for months, and just as we began to give up hope we would find something we liked, this house came on the market. We loved the house, and the neighborhood was and still is one of the best in the city for its convenience and walkability. Moreover, the schools are excellent. Of the many things we like about living in this house, the amount and quality of the light are foremost. The master bedroom window catches the early morning sun and makes us feel like we are living in a treehouse in the Japanese maple just outside. Both morning and afternoon sun comes into the dining room, creating an ever-changing play of light and shadow. Entertaining is easy and fun in this house. It has always had a cozy, warm, and welcoming feel, and guests often comment on how much they like the feel the house exudes. On warm summer and spring evenings, we have enjoyed the backyard garden and patio with friends and family. Speaking of the garden, we have spent many years working on the flower beds, mostly native perennials now, making soil improvements over the years with our own compost. With full sun, part sun and shade throughout the property, we have had a great deal of enjoyment designing for the seasons. We hope the new owners love this house as much as we have!
